As good corporate governance is essential in building a valuable business, it is important for each company to evaluate its governance practices and to consider what can be improved. Therefore the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) has developed a practical instrument that allows to make such an assessment against international benchmarks and best standards, and you can find out more about it here.
The test that you are about to start offers a few simplified questions based on this comprehensive tool, as a sample and as a start for all companies that might want to better comprehend their strengths and weaknesses. You will be asked to self-evaluate your company practices and then receive comments in summary.
Please note that the word "Board" is used in this test to mean a body which fulfils the supervisory function in a company, and not an executive body. Therefore in Latvia and Estonia it would refer to a Supervisory Board (Padome and Nõukogu), while in Lithuania it would refer either to a Supervisory Board or a Board (Stebėtojų taryba or Valdyba).
