The Board of the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) was unanimous in electing Daiga Auziņa-Melalksne as the Chair of the Board for the third year.

“Effective guidance by the BICG Board and its Chair is a key reason behind the many successes of the BICG. I am delighted to know that Daiga will continue in her role for what we plan to be another very active year,” says Rytis Ambrazevičius, President of the BICG.

Ms Auziņa-Melalksne is the Head of Exchange Services at Nasdaq Baltic and the CEO of Nasdaq Riga. She is a member of the Management Board at Nasdaq Tallinn.

“While impact of corporate governance is substantially increasing among both public and private sector companies, helping to ensure sustainable economic growth and competitiveness of the Baltic region, there is still an obvious need to advance the best practices even further, and the BICG will continue to be a leading force in these changes,” says Ms Auziņa-Melalksne.

Board of the BICG is appointed by the members of the BICG at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and establishes the strategies, goals and business procedures for the association.

Members of the Board elect the Chair in their first meeting held after the AGM.
